I am part of the LGBTQ+ community. Unified Therapies is so welcoming. I can not say enough about this clinic and the community they are making. I recently had a stroke. It is hard for me to perform simple things at times such as getting in and out of a car or maneuvering in a tight space (bathroom). I was afraid I would hurt my wife as she helped me. Allison has been helping to strengthen my muscles and balance so I will not fall and take less manual work off my wife. She has been training my wife in safe transfers to help her avoid a back injury. Allison came to our home and performed a home assessment to reduce the risk of falls and also made suggestions on how to rearrange furniture to improve my independence. Unified Therapies is giving me hope of movement and to never give up on reaching my goals.

“My personal experience with Unified Therapies has been life changing. When I first walked through their door I could barely walk and had an almost useless right arm from a bad fall. I choose them because they are so conveniently located a stones throw from my house. I knew that I could drive the one block to get there. Working with the OT there has given almost full range of motion in my right arm. I am still seeing the PT, Allison Fender and I am greeted with a cheery greeting every time I walk through the doors. I look forward to going every time. I was told by my Trauma Surgeon that I might be running by this upcoming summer. “Unified Therapies is a great place for rehabilitation of an injury. I heard from my neighbor how great they were. I play recreational soccer and had an ankle sprain. When I walked through the door, their focus was on me. I have not had this kind of focus before in rehab. It was one on one care.
